GAO: First to Offer Complete Communication Portfolio for TI C5000 DSP Family

Toronto, Canada: GAO Research & Consulting Ltd., announced today that it is now offering a complete suite of communication software for the Texas Instruments TMS320C5000 family of Digital Signal
Processors (DSPs). The entire suite of ITU compliant modem, fax, telephony, speech software is now available from a single source. Several leading communications and electronics companies have
recently signed deals to license the software.
GAO software is available for:
- Modem: V.90, V.34, V.32bis/V.32, V.22bis/V.22 and Bell 212A, Bell 103;
- Fax, fax relay: V.34, V.17, to lower speeds;
- Telephony: LEC, AGC, CP, CID, DTMF;
- Speech: G.729A, G.729B, to G.723.1; and for
- Voice over IP (VoIP) and voice over digital subscriber line (VoDSL).
All the modules conform to relevant ITU and Bellcore standards. The software modules have been integrated for applications such as web phones, VoIP gateways, remote access servers, set top boxes,
PBXs, fax over IP and fax relay applications.
The C5000 DSPs are ideal for communication applications and provide the right combination of low power dissipation, performance, and cost effectiveness. The C5000 DSPs are also an excellent choice
for high density gateway applications.
Pricing and Availability: All modules are available now. Prices range from US$10k to US$150k plus running royalties.
