V.27ter Fax Software (V27ter Fax Modem)
V.27ter Fax Software (V27ter Fax Modem)
The GAO V27ter fax modem software implements the ITU-T V.27ter Recommendation, which is 4800bps and 2400bps modem, used in the general switched telephone network. It is the modulation scheme used in Group 3 facsimile (G3 fax) for image transfer at 4800bps and 2400bps. It consists of transmitting functions and receiving functions which are called to transmit/receive bits in groups of 2 or 3 (referred to as symbols) at a rate of 1200 or 1600 symbols per second respectively.
Features of V.27ter Fax Software (V27ter Fax Modem)
- GAO’s V.27ter software implements the ITU-T V.27ter recommendation
- Uses a data signaling rate of 4800 bps with eight phase differentially encoded modulation.
- Operates at a reduced rate of 2400 bps with four phase differentially encoded modulation.
- Optional backward channel at modulation rates of up to 75 symbols per second.
- Modulation occurs at 1800Hz.
- Transmitted power levels conform to V.2.
- Modulation rate is 1200 or 1600 symbols.
- It consists of transmitting functions and receiving functions which are called to transmit and receive bits in groups of 2 to 3 (referred to as symbols) at a rate of 1200 or 1600 symbols per second respectively.
- Highly optimized in C and multi-channel ready.
